Animal Force Adamantoise Farming

How to farm Adamantoises w/o the "expiry fob", with no shrouds, level 2 weaponry and without saving and reloading.

Contents:

ane. Political party

two. Equipment

3. Why the Adamantoise?

4. No Lightning?!?

5. Battle Technique

6. Refilling your TP Judge

vii. My Feel

viii. My Stats/Equipment in the very beginning

At the time that I decided to accept on these mammoth turtles I was already done with 95% of the missions. I had also finished the circle of missions on Gran Pulse. If you don't already know that Completing Mission 51(concluding dominate in Titan's Trials), or the circle of missions on Gran Pulse (Eastern Tors), will change all Adamanchelid and Adamantoise on Gran Pulse to Long Guis. They have 3x as much health equally Adamantoise and are much, much, much stronger. And so I was forced to go to Eden Hall for the farming of the Adamantoise.

Edit: Most all of the Adamanchelid and Adamantoise on Gran Pulse will exist changed to Long Gui, but there aren't enough left for efficient farming techniques.

Annotation: Guide setup for PS3, I don't know what the crappy XBOX buttons are :D

Location: Eden Hall

1. Political party:

Fang as leader

Promise

Vanille

Epitome Deck: In this order

Espionage SYN SAB SAB

Tri-Disaster RAV RAV RAV

Relentless Attack COM RAV RAV

Ruthless COM RAV SAB

You but demand the first iii for the Adamantoise battle, the last is for regenerating your TP betwixt Adamantoise encounters.

2. Equipment:

The most important piece of equipment is 1 Genji Glove, it is admittedly necessary for this to piece of work. Practise mission 55 to obtain information technology. Vanille's death spell will somewhen win yous the battle against the fierce Neochu; took me ~12 tries. I used Snow as a Watch, Promise equally a Medic and Vanille as a Saboteur and cast decease until it killed the Neochu. Earlier you prototype shift to kill the Neochu'south minions be sure that your party has sufficient/full health. I shifted too soon once and they wiped me out; had to exercise the battle over once again.

I also take the Growth Egg. Not necessary, but it makes the battles worth 80,000 CP.

Fang:

Venus Gospel * Level : Upgrade Taming Pole

Genji Glove * Uncapped Damage

Power Glove * +250 str

Ability Glove *

Power Glove *

Hope:

Urubutsin * Lvl : Upgrade Otshirvani

Growth Egg 2x CP

Weirding Glyph * +250 mag

Weirding Glyph *

Weirding Glyph *

Vanille:

Malboro Wand * Lvl: Upgrade Belladonna Wand

Weirding Glyph * + 250 magazine

Weirding Glyph *

Conossieur Catalog *

Collector'due south Catalog *

When I first started farming these guys I didn't have (3) Weirding Glyphs on Hope nor (ii) on Vanille. You should exist able to sub another item in. I also just had (i) Power Glove on Fang. All of their weapons were at * level though.

Note: Come across the end of the guide for my political party'southward stats and equipment when I first created this farming technique.

Vanille's Malboro Wand is very important considering information technology adds Improved Debuffing Two. This makes her forty% more likely to country debuffs on enemies.

You lot also exercise no take to use the Venus Gospel, I just chose to do then considering of the high forcefulness stat on it.

iii. Why farm the Adamantoise?

The adamantoise drops Platinum Ingots for a normal drop (sell for 150,000 Gil) and the infamous Trapezohedron every bit a rare. I wouldn't suggest farming these guys unless y'all are using both the Conossieur and Collector's Catalogs. They are also worth a nice chunk of CP if you still need it. Note: Using more than ane of either catalog does not increase your chance of drops. I would advise keeping the catalogs on Vanille since she is weaker than Promise. Y'all want maximum damage for this technique to piece of work.

four. No Lightning?!?

Some of y'all are also probably wondering why I'g not using Lightning. I know she is powerful, but in that location are reasons why I chose the party I did.

Vanille is necessary considering of her superb debuffing power. Fang can likewise do good debuffs but every bit a Synergist she has Haste, Bravera and Faithra which are all necessary for this technique.

Fang is necessary considering of her force, as party leader because of her Highwind attack, and as a SYN for Haste, Bravera and Faithra.

Hope is arguably the all-time Ravager in the game; his low health will have no bearing on the consequence of this battle if y'all do it correct! And he's a decent enough SAB to assist Vaniile in making sure y'all utilise all necessary debuffs.

5. Boxing Technique:

Engage the Adamantoise starting in the Espionage Paradigm SYN SAB SAB. Immediately summon your eidolon. Hitting select to skip the first CG scene. Immediately hit Foursquare to get into Gestalt mode. Hit select again to skip the CG scene. Immediately hit triangle to use all your Eidolons ability, Mega Flare. Now the Adamantoise will be face up downward and ready for an donkey whooping.

Cast Bravera so Haste on Fang. So cast Haste and Faithra on Vanille, and then Hope. Bravera and Faithra give you a 75% stat boost compared to Bravery and Faith at 25%. The boxing volition exist quick enough for the short buff elapsing of Bravera and Faithra.

In the time it takes yous to buff the party with But those buffs, the Adamantoise should have Deshell, Deprotect, Imperil, and Slow on him. This is why you want Vanille with her Malboro Wand.

Switch Paradigms to Tri-Disaster, RAV RAV RAV, and chain him only until he staggers at 500%. Information technology should only accept 2 rounds of attacks, maybe iii. Important Annotation: If he does not have Imperil on him it will take much longer to stagger and you will not impale him earlier he stands up!

Once he staggers switch to Relentless Assault COM, RAV, RAV. Pound him auto assault. The stagger will apace achieve 999%. Monitor his wellness with R1. Once he gets close to or drops beneath 1,000,000 HP you tin apply Highwind with Fang. It should do 850,000-999,999 damage. Yous WIN!

The Adamantoise will stand when the stagger gauge is approx 2/three of the way depleted. Don't panic if he starts to stand up and you're waiting for Fang's ATB estimate to charge for Highwind. Every bit long as the stagger is at 999% it will still practise the appropriate impairment. The boxing volition take approximately 1:20 or less; Depending on your equipment.

Y'all are guaranteed a v star rating which will help your TP gauge to fill, 80,000 CP(with Growth Egg) and your chances at Ingots and Traps.

six. Refilling your TP estimate for farming the Adamantoise.

After yous conquer the overgrown turtle switch your default prototype to Ruthless COM, RAV, SAB. Accept on the 2 pairs of Sanctum Soldiers closest to the Adamantoise.

For all of these battles with the soldiers, take out the Celebrants commencement. They tend to accident you up with their bazooka and it tin really lengthen the boxing, sometimes causing you lot to lose the 5-star rating and the TP that comes with it.

Annotation: It can help to equip each party member with Sprint Shoes(Automobile-Haste) to go the jump on the Sanctum Celebrants from blowing yous up with that abrasive Bazooka attack.

Then head towards the Humbaba Behemoths. Skip these as information technology'southward difficult to get a preemptive strike; even if you exercise they are worth squat for refilling your TP gauge. Have on the remaining soldiers; ane battle with 3 and the other with 4. Go up the small staircase and open that sweetness door. I prefer to skip the short CG scene. Every bit soon as you're on the other side become right back through the door. All enemies have respawned and you don't accept to save/reload every time you kill the Adamantoise. The 4 battles against the soldiers are more than sufficient to refill your TP gauge to continuously kill the Adamantoise. The Credit/Incentive Chips are a prissy bonus from killing the groups of Sanctum Soldiers too.

7. My Experience:

If I start at the tiptop of the stairs, impale the soldiers, run past the Humbabas, kill the Adamantoise, then kill the 2 pairs of soldiers, run back to the door, and get in and out it takes ~ vii minutes. For the 5 battles you get 105,610 CP. In an 60 minutes you lot're basically looking at ane,000,000 CP; 63 minutes if you want to become technical. Arguably the best spot in the game for ability leveling yourself to max crystarium besides as for farming Gil.

I got a Trapezohedron after about xv battles. I used it to upgrade Fang's Calamity Spear to a Kain's Lance. I chose the Calamity Spear because information technology is one of the Weapons you can dismantle to get three Trapezohedrons. I did some farming for a bit and raised enough coin to max it out. It costs 1,250,000 Gil to get from lvl 35 Kain's Lance to * Kain'southward Lance in case y'all were wondering. Lvl 35 is where y'all start after using a Trap to catalyze the Calamity Spear. Use 36 Barbed Tails for the 300% XP bonus, then 25 Ultracompact Reactors.

I'm presently using the Kain's Lance since it has bitchin' stats and ultimate weapons give you the 6th ATB slot. I'll use it until I save up ALOT of Gil to upgrade multiple peoples weapons, so I'll dismantle it and take advantage of those extra Traps. viii)

In the procedure of me figuring out this super efficient farming technique, I've come to the conclusion that using shrouds must greatly reduce your risk of getting drops. Early I used to utilise a Fortisol to start the battle. When I was doing that I wasn't getting very many ingots to drop. In one case I refined my technique to what yous've read they started dropping much more frequently.

Also noteworthy is the fact that once you lot are strong enough you won't fifty-fifty need to utilize Highwind to kill this fauna. If yous upgrade the Weirding Glyphs and Power Gloves to * lvl you should exist close to doing so. My all-time time thus far is one:01. But got that low once I upgraded the Kain's Lance to *.

8. Before posting this I decided to reload my salve file from when I first started to utilise this technique.

I tested the boxing with this setup and I squeaked by with a win, Highwind struck and killed the Adamantoise as he was about to annihilate the party with another stomp. Therefore, I would suggest at least equipping fang with the 3 Power Gloves at max level. She is your real powerhouse during this battle. As soon as I switched to Relentless Attack she was striking for 120K+ harm even with the Warrior Wristbands.

I quickly upgraded the two Warriors Wristbands to Power Gloves on Fang and tried the boxing once again; it makes the battle a sure shot at easy farming. It doesn't cost that much money to get the Power Gloves and Weirding Glyphs and so it's probably a good idea to practice so from the outset.

Happy Farming!
